The Ultimate Holiday Gift Guide
You took spicy pics, now how do you gift them?
Hey there you cutie trooper!
My inbox has been flooded over the last week with people asking…now what?! I took spicy photos, edited them, and they are just sitting on my phone….how do I print/gift/use these?
Don’t you worry, I got you! The act of taking the images is a wonderful gift for yourself, but gifting to someone else might feel a little sticky! That’s ok! I have put together my 2025 do’s and don’ts list to get you going in the right direction!
You are walking art, and that art deserves to be seen, cherished, loved and gifted!
Let’s start with the don’ts list.
I need you to know that even though you love and cherish these images, your local print shop may not. I would HIGHLY recommend staying away from your local Walgreens, Costco, CVS or small mom and pop pharmacy. Consent across the board is a key foundation for spicy play like this, and that extends all the way out to who is printing these images. These are people you may run into in your day to day life, and you don’t have their explicit consent to see you in your birthday suit.
And yes, I am even talking about those little do-it-yourself print kiosks. Those have to be serviced on a regular basis, and your images are held in their database, on the device. Meaning the 16 year old whose job it is to make sure that thing stays running is at risk of seeing your left AND right nipple. Not a good look.
Second no-no is sending your images out to an online print company without first calling or messaging them to make sure they actually print this style of photo. Printing boudoir in the States is a bit of a sticky situation and that’s ok. Several of our large professional print houses are anti-spicy, and that’s a personal decision that I 100% stand behind. I had a recent trooper try and print with an online company (big name that I can’t say here…just think flying shutter) and they were informed that they didn’t print this type of photo AND they were not refunding their money, just giving them a credit to apply to another print project. So do your research before you pull the trigger.
Now onto the do’s list!
MPix:
I have worked with an online print company called MPix for several years as a referral partner because they are one of the few online print houses that actually do print boudoir images!! Not only do they offer prints, but you can also put together super fun gifts like a calendar, playing card deck, key chain or pretty much anything else you can imagine! The BEST PART….they gave me a $10 off coupon to pass to you all! It will take $10 off your first order so there is no reason not to print something a little spicy this year!
Fujifilm Instax Mini Link (Printer):
I love a little at home printer moment because there is nothing better than a vintage polaroid to deliver your spicy noods!! I prefer the Fujifilm Instax Mini Link because it connects to your phone via bluetooth technology, so it’s as simple as selecting the images you want and printing right in your hand. The film is sold separately in 10 image cartridges and can often be found in stores or online. There is also a Fujifilm Instax Link Wide which prints the larger polaroid style images if you want something a little bigger to gift! I have both and love them for different reasons! The best part, you aren’t running the risk of Steve down at the CVS seeing your naked ass!
Slideshow:
I love to showcase images by putting together a slideshow. This can simply be done on your device or google photo! Here is a very general step by step for iPhone, Android and Google Photo users!
On iPhone:
Open the Photos app.
Tap Select and choose all the photos you want in the slideshow. You can do this from the main screen or you can add them to a specific album and select from there. Either way, all the images must be selected that you want in the slideshow.
Tap the Share icon or the three dots (depending on the iOS version) and select Play as Slideshow. For me, the three dots are down in the lower right corner of the screen!
You can edit the slideshow by changing the music, theme, and duration, and then save it as a video.
On Android (Samsung Galaxy example):
Open the Photos or Gallery app.
Open an album or select photos from your library.
Tap the three dots or more options icon.
Select Slideshow to play it.
You can often adjust settings like speed, music, and theme in a separate options menu.
Using Google Photos
Open the Google Photos app.
Go to the Library tab and tap Utilities (or tap Create at the bottom).
Under “Create New,” select Movie or New Movie.
Select the photos and videos you want in the slideshow.
Tap Create or Next to begin editing.
From here, you can adjust clip length, music, and order before saving.
Advent Calendar:
I love a teaser campaign and I ADORE the long game. There is something about the anticipation of an advent calendar that really gets me! All you will need is a printer and some envelops and you have yourself a spicy holiday gift that you will have a hard time topping next year! I legit do this for my clients in my studio and it’s so simple. Get the mini printer I mentioned above, a set of these hotel key card holders and a large leather envelope! Print your images (10/12/24 or however long you want to play), number each envelope, put them all in the big leather wallet and you’re set! Wrap that heifer and watch them drool!
The Gift of Play:
The last way I love gifting spicy noods is to give a partner the gift of play. I encourage my wedding clients to do this on their big day as a spouse gift and it’s simply wrapping up a couple images WITH the clothes, toys, accessories or lingerie they had on IN THE IMAGE. They open the gift of spicy pics as well as a fun invite for them to wrap (or unwrap) you in their own life size version of the images you took! It’s a wildly intimate and adorable way for you to get excited about the noods you took while also getting them involved!
No matter how (or if) you gift them, I want you to know that you are worthy of having your images printed and in-hand. Even if you don’t have a significant other in your world, it’s still super fun to have spicy images of yourself that you can cherish. These images are taken for YOURSELF first and foremost so lean into the season and give yourself this precious gift.
I love you my spicy trooper and know that I am so DAMN PROUD OF YOU for being here, for taking up space, for capturing your body in a way that feels empowered and for continuing to be an incredible human!
Go forth and be a spicy menace to society!
Love you, mean it.
Katelyn, your wildly unhinged and barely clothed troop leader and biggest fan!
