Naughty November - A 30 Day Journey to Find Yourself in the Nood!
How we can use spicy selfies to heal our relationship with our bodies
Hey cutie!
What ifffff…you woke up one day and learned that your body didn’t define you as a human? What if all of a sudden, your body didn’t hold you back from doing, seeing and exploring all the things you want in this life? What if you said “fuck it” and full-sent-it down a path of body liberation and stopped waiting for your body to be “right” in order to indulge in life’s finest pleasures!?!
Think it’s impossible? It’s not. I KNOW your life would look and feel a lot freer, lighter and happier if you just stopped thinking about the world in black and white and allowed yourself to squiggle outside the lines. Skinny dipped in the ocean, poo beared just a shirt around the house with no panties on, ate the delicious food without counting the calories, took the naked photos and celebrated the skin you were gifted!!
We live in a society that thrives on tearing us down. The freaking beauty industry is a $571 billion dollars powerhouse. The entire system is built to convince us we are a project to be fixed, filled, stuffed, fluffed, flattened and changed. Dimples, absolutely not. Back rolls, straight to jail. Double chin, get out of town. The standards are unrealistic and fleeting, so why are we chasing a rabbit that we won’t ever be able to catch? Don’t you think it’s time to hang up the cleats?
Because I sure as fuck do. Our bodies are not the problem, the system is…so let’s change the narrative. How are we doing this? By taking spicy selfies and using it as the most beautiful form of exposure therapy we can.
The best thing I EVER did on my own body liberation journey was to get in front of a camera. When I started shooting boudoir, I realized I was asking my clients to expose it all and show up for themselves authentically. Which means, I had to as well. I forced myself in front of my own lens because I would never ask my clients to do something I wouldn’t personally do.
What I discovered was that through the art of selfies, I started to see myself in a different light. It completely changed the chemistry of my brain and I started seeing the world in a whole new light. I no longer felt like my body was enemy number 1. I went from thinking negatively about my body all day every day, pulling on my clothes, trying to make myself smaller, to a human with an unapologetic level of confidence. I realized that all the things I learned about hating my body were just that, teachings. And if I could learn it, I could also unlearn it. Just like you can!
So this November… we’re baring it all and finding ourselves in the nood. One spicy photo at a time. This isn’t about being “confident.” It’s about choosing not to wait. It’s about letting your body be yours again. It’s about practicing courage 10 seconds at a time… until it becomes your new normal. So even if you have to do it with a shaky voice and sweaty palms, I challenge you to try some or all of this 30 day challenge.
Ways to join the selfie challenge:
Option 1: Each day during the month of November I am going to put out a 45-60 second video on my social media platforms with the pose of the day. You can find me on Instagram or TikTok to follow the simple video instructions. This is a surface level intro to the selfie world that is free and easily accessible.
Option 2: Become a paid subscriber here and get daily breakdowns of all 30 poses throughout the month of November. For $11 you will get an in-depth tutorial with diagrams, videos, final examples and a complete breakdown on how to recreate the image. If you want to really lean in and find success, this is your best option.
And because I believe pleasure & generosity SHOULD exist in the same breath 100% of the money raised in November is being donated to a local food pantry. We get to make art and make an impact because the world looks better when we are kind to ourselves and to others!
So are you going to join us? $11. Thirty days. One very loving rebellion.
