Day 7- Naughty November
A 30 day spicy posing series to find yourself in the nood!
It has officially been a full week since we started this Naughty November journey, and to say I am proud of you is an understatement. Not only are you showing up for yourself in a way that feels big/scary/amazing/fun, you are also actively rewiring your brain to know you deserve delicious and luxurious shit… EVEN if you haven’t gotten up the courage to try the poses yet!
Just by being here and exposing yourself to the potential of what is to come is BIG PROGRESS! Pat yourself on the back friend! If you haven’t yet become a paid subscriber, that’s ok! I wanted to give you a little sneak peek of what you are missing on our day to day journey through Naughty November! If this hits home, make sure to subscribe so you don’t miss a day. You will be able to access all the previous posts and will have the remainder of Naughty November dropped into your inbox!
Now that we are a full week in, I want to start throwing some body neutrality/liberation homework at you. We will tackle this in coming months, but every 7 days during this challenge I am going to throw in some journaling options so you can check in, regroup, get a temperature check with where you are, and be able to tangibly see your progress! When I started my journey, everything felt so big/raw and the voices in my head were so loud and so wrong. It really helped to get it out of my head and on to paper. As always, if journaling isn’t your jam, that’s ok! Take what works and leave the rest.
Journal Prompts:
Journal Entry #1: In a dream world, what kind of relationship do you want to have with your body?
Journal Entry #2: What is one thing you are looking forward to most when you start honoring your body and no longer hold onto your limiting beliefs? Is there one thing you have been putting off because you don’t think you can do it in your current body? What freedoms will accepting your body grant you?
Journal Entry #3: Have you ever experienced a time in your life where your body (size, shape, existence) wasn’t the first thing on your mind on a day to day basis? Can you picture a world in which this is possible?
You can simply noodle on these in the shower, voice note your answers to yourself or write them down. There is no right or wrong answer here friend, just get that big beautiful brain working!
Now, let’s dive in!!!! Welcome to day 7 of Naughty November!
Pose 7: Just You and a White Sheet
The Setup:
Step 1: Find a spot in your room with directional light coming in from the side of you. Ideally a wall next to a set of windows or near a lamp set to the side of you. I just moved the bed over a couple feet for this one and utilized the flat wall behind the bed.
Step 2: I like to place my phone directly in front of me, but a modification could be to place your phone on a 45 degree angle if you don’t have enough space in front of you. The real focus should be where your light is places, so make sure you’re side lit. In my setup, the phone is placed directly next to the wall of windows and I am using that line to create interest in the image.
Step 3: Now turn away from the camera at a 45 degree angle so you are facing towards your light source. In this case it’s the wall of windows. We want that light to be able to skim across the side closest to the light and fall off on the side farthest from the light.
Step 4: Take your white sheet and wrap it behind you, leaving the opening in the front. At this point you will be holding the two corners together around your chest line. Leave a little swoop of fabric on the back and hold the pieces together with the hand closest to your light source. Try to keep the little dangly bits of the fabric inside your hand so you don’t have the ends sticking out the top.
Step 5: Bend the knee furthest from the light and stick it between the seam of fabric in the front. Drag your knee across the midline of your body like you need to pee and point your toe.
Step 6: With the hand furthest from the light, pull gently back on the fabric towards your hip area. Hide any bits that you want or let your body be seen. Totally a personal preference here.
Step 7: Tilt your head back and then drop your chin towards the shoulder closest to the camera.
Step 7.5: Get creative and let you hands play, turn towards the corner and get a shot of the back of you, push your hand up the wall, stand powerfully and allow the sheet to drape down the front of you…just get creative and make it your own!
Step 8: Stop the video, pause and take screenshots!
