Welcome to the official first day of Naughty November, a 30 day posing series where we’re using the art of spicy selfies to find our way back to our bodies!
The format for each day is going to look super similar. You will get the long format educational video, a diagram with where to situate your light/camera (phone)/body, and then example images for you to model the poses after.
Just a reminder that there is no right or wrong here! Just the act of getting in front of the lens is a huge deal and I am SO PROUD OF YOU for starting this journey!
As a paid subscriber you will be getting all 30 days of poses dropped right into your inbox each morning. Some of these poses will really resonate and some won’t! That’s ok! Take what serves you and leave the rest. Also feel free to structure the month how you want. I know some of you will want to try the poses each day, some of you will save them for one spicy shoot a week and some of you may savor these over weeks. All of those are greats ways to celebrate your body and lean into the spice!
Let’s jump in and start making magic!
The setup:
The goal is to keep this simple! You need no other tools besides your cell phone, a can-do attitude, some light and a way to hold your phone up!
Step 1: Find a space in your house or outdoors where you feel secure and empowered! Ideally it’s a tidy space with either natural light or directional light from a lamp. Try and avoid overhead light as much as possible and stick to using a window or artificial light that you can move around.
Step 2: Grab your phone and set it up. Each day will have instructions on where the camera (phone) needs to be in the scene to get the most accurate replication of the selfie! You can use a tripod, cup, book, candle, stool or whatever you have on hand to hold your phone up, so don’t get hung up here. Just put your phone down and get in front of the lens!
Step 3: Get in the frame and record a video of yourself doing the pose of the day. This may feel silly at first but it is the fastest and easiest way to get multiple options in the shortest amount of time. Once you have your video, you will be taking screenshots to edit, so move slowly and take your time. From a 30-60 second video you will have several options to choose from!
