I have two super fun in-person events happening soon, and I want to make sure you know about them!
I have the distinct honor to partner with two incredible humans I have met on my new journey into the burlesque space, and through this, we are teaming up to host two pretty incredible events!
One is centered around play and sensuality, and one is a masterclass on taking your own gorgeous images at home!
Come to one or both, and lean into the journey of finding that delicious home in the skin you are in! Healing is communal, and I think it’s super important to surround yourself with like minded humans who enjoy this type of work!
Event One: Audaciously You

Join The Dress Rehearsal and Katelyn Scott Photography for a night of shimmies, sensuality, and photo shoots!
In a world that tells you that you are somehow too much and not enough, be audaciously and stubbornly you.
From 6-8pm on May 26th, come as you are to the Katelyn Scott Photography Studio in Raleigh, NC! You’ll:
Join certified sexuality educator, sex coach, and burlesque performer, Veronica Dress in a workshop focused on using play and dance as a way to tap into your most audacious and confident sensual self (even if you never step onto a stage!).
Learn a short dance to practice feeling like your most sensual self. Think less “5,6,7,8 shuffle-ball-change” and more making up dances with your besties in the basement to the Spice Girls (or your pop star of choice)!
Capture your magic with Katelyn Scott Photography, mini session style! You’ll get to pose for fun + intimate portraits wearing accessories from the studio’s closet and whatever base layer makes you feel audacious and confident (it doesn’t have to be lingerie, though it can be! Truly, whatever look makes you feel confident and powerful just as you are).
Logistics corner:
Light refreshments will be provided!
Participants will have access to the Katelyn Scott Photography closet of accessories! Please bring whatever bottoms you’d like to be wearing in your photos (lingerie, jeans, fringe skirt, basketball shorts— whatever makes you feel hot!)
All bodies, genders, and sexualities are welcome in this space! By signing up for this event, participants agree to practice consent and join us in creating a space free from homophobia, transphobia, ableism, and racism.

Event Two: Picture Perfect

This is about so much more than pretty pictures. Join photographer Katelyn Scott and the Raleigh School of Burlesque for a deeply empowering, hands-on workshop designed to help you create fierce, sexy, confident self-portraits — all by yourself.
Whether you’ve ever looked at someone else’s photos and thought “I could never,” struggled to feel comfortable in front of a camera, or simply want to learn how to capture yourself in a way that actually feels powerful and authentic… this workshop is for you.
Over the course of three intimate hours, you’ll learn how to take stunning selfies and self-portraits using the tools you already have — including your phone, natural light, mirrors, simple setups, and intentional posing.
We’ll explore: Empowered and expressive posing techniques, angles that create confidence and drama, lighting basics for moody, glamorous, and striking photos, facial expression, body language, and storytelling, how to feel less awkward and more connected to yourself on camera, creating photos that feel authentic, sensual, artistic, and empowering DIY tricks for taking amazing solo photos at home.
This is not about perfection. It’s about presence. Confidence. Witnessing yourself differently. Participants will actively take photos during class and have opportunities to experiment with poses, lighting, movement, and creative direction in a supportive, empowered environment.
Expect hands-on guidance, encouragement, laughter, and plenty of “holy shit, THAT’S me?” moments.
Feel free to bring: ONE costume or outfit/look ONE prop (feather boa, chair, gloves, flowers, mirror, jacket, etc.) Your phone or camera, and a willingness to take up space! No modeling or photography experience required. All bodies, ages, identities, and experience levels are welcome. Come as you are. Leave with new skills, gorgeous photos, and a completely different way of seeing yourself.
